Shop.org, the online retailing division of the National Retail Federation, has named former Simply Wireless executive Ken Eisner as vice president of marketing, Shop.org said.
In his new position, Eisner will oversee membership recruitment and retention strategies, develop and execute marketing plans for Shop.org events and research, and grow the Shop.org brand, the organization says.
“Adding another online retail expert to our growing team represents the vitality that e-commerce brings to the retail industry,” says Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org.
At Simply Wireless, which sells cell phones and other wireless devices through 50 retail stores, a wholesale division, and retail site SimplyWireless.com, Eisner supervised online, call center and direct mail initiatives. He also directed creative marketing and media efforts managed company partnerships and product development.
Prior to Simply Wireless, Eisner worked for several companies including VarsityBooks.com and the National Football League.
