Hanover Direct grows Q2 web sales by 29%
Second quarter e-commerce revenue rose by 29.2% for Hanover Direct Inc. while total sales rose by 8.5%.
In Q2, Hanover’s e-commerce sales totaled $42.4 million, compared with web sales of $32.8 million in Q2 2005. Total Q2 sales for Hanover, No. 73 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, grew to $108.7 million from $100.2 million in the second quarter of 2005.
For January through June, e-commerce revenue for Hanover also grew by 26.2% to $80.7 million from $63.9 million from the same period in 2005. Year-over-year sales for January through June increased by 10% to $209 million from $189.9 million.
For the second quarter, e-commerce accounted for 39% of all revenue vs. 33% in Q2 2005.
For January through June, the web represented 39% of sales, compared with 34% for the first six months of 2005.
