Virgin Entertainment promotes Dee McLaughlin to VP of marketing


Dee McLaughlin, an eight-year veteran of Virgin Group, has been named vice president of marketing and will lead efforts for the store and online operations of Virgin Megastores as well as for Virgin Entertainment Group. Virgin Entertainment Group is a multi-channel music and entertainment products retailer.

In her new position, McLaughlin also will manage the content of a new Virgin Megastore retail web site planned for September. She also will oversee for Virgin Entertainment Group all product marketing, merchandising, media planning, market research and partnership strategies.

Prior to her promotion, McLaughlin was senior director of marketing and the director of brand marketing for Virgin, where she was responsible for directing the design and execution of Virgin Entertainment Group`s new corporate identity. Over the past year McLaughlin also has helped create and implement Virgin`s V.I.P. loyalty program, which has more than 75,000 members.
