New system integrates video and alerts into a complete system for active monitoring

The Loss Prevention Solution from Apigent integrates video and alerts into a complete system for active monitoring of key access points and critical financial transactions. Alerts are triggered from contact sensors on entries and safes. In addition, common point of sale and attendance systems – when integrated into the ZEOM.net operations information framework – can trigger alerts based on excessive instances of voids, no-sales or coupons, as well as monitoring of excessive overtime and violations to an operation’s time clock.
If a potential problem arises, a manager can view the situation as it unfolds. After the fact, a video storyboarding feature links footage to alerts, reducing 24 hours of film to the key two or three events that happened—providing a record that can be archived. Therefore, opportunities for theft are reduced and culprits can be more easily identified. The Loss Prevention Solution can deliver problem notifications both inside and outside the enterprise.
