Brooks Brothers Reports its All-Java Nextor POS Application Runs Flawlessly for Black Friday
Ecometry’s Recently Acquired POS Product Proves its Worth
for Respected Retailer’s Important Sales Day
DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Dec. 20, 2005 – Ecometry Corp., a leading supplier of software for multi-channel retailers, received its first kudos for the Nextor POS application recently acquired from ADS Retail, an Upper Marlboro, MD.-based provider of point-of-sale software.
ADS Retail’s flagship product, Nextor, is a Java, ARTS Conformant POS application that enables retailers to manage all of their point-of-sale activities. Last week, during retail’s Black Friday it faced its greatest challenge and came through without a single problem.
In an end-of-day Black Friday email to Wayne Moody, former CTO of ADS Retail and now Chief Architect for Nextor at Ecometry, Dee Carter, a Brooks Brothers’ lead technical manager wrote, “It went great!... we had an amazing day! The queues were not built up for more than 1-minute delay.” Ms. Carter concluded, “We can actually say that we have a stable system and that we are not worried about any volume issues.” Nextor is running in 135 of Brooks Brothers 185-stores where over 30,000 transactions were processed in a single day without a single issue.
The acquisition is Ecometry’s second this year. In May, Ecometry and its parent company, Multi-Channel Holdings, completed the acquisition of Blue Martini Software Inc., a provider of e-commerce and relationship marketing systems.
