Xchange Strengthens Senior Management Team With New Sales Leadership
Robert Whirley joins Xchange from Computer Associates as
Senior Vice President of Americas Sales
Boston, Mass. - October 4, 2001 - Xchange, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXAP), which specializes in helping Global 5000 companies maximize profits in each customer interaction, today announced that Robert Whirley has joined Xchange as Senior Vice President of Americas Sales. Mr. Whirley will oversee new customer acquisition and development of Xchange`s partner channel to generate revenue, and will report directly to J. Chris Wagner, President and CEO. He brings to Xchange more than a decade of success in executive sales management and a variety of sales leadership positions at Computer Associates International (CA) and Cabletron Systems.
Mr. Whirley will be responsible for developing new and expanded relationships with Xchange`s partners and clients in order to drive revenue. He has more than 10 years of technology experience to complement his strong sales expertise. Prior to joining Xchange, Mr. Whirley was Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Computer Associates` New York Region, one of CA`s largest business units, and was responsible for sales operations.
Prior to heading up the New York Region for CA, Mr. Whirley was Senior Vice President and Group General Manager for Computer Associates International Global Ebusiness Industry Solutions. In this role, Mr. Whirley was responsible for delivering strategic solutions to clients, working closely with development, product Marketing, and professional services. Mr. Whirley also held successive Senior Management positions within Computer Associates Field Sales Regions. Before joining Computer Associates, Mr. Whirley spent six years in regional management and various sales positions managing Fortune 500 accounts at Cabletron Systems.
