Perimeter adds interaction management applications to its Web-based routing, tracking and reporting product ideal for Centrex-based contact centers

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 8, 2001) – Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ), a global developer of interaction management software, and Perimeter Technology, an Applied Digital Solutions Company, signed an original equipment manufacturer agreement effective Sept. 19, 2001, allowing Perimeter to include interaction management applications by Interactive Intelligence into the newest version of Net-VU, the company`s Web-based routing, tracking and reporting product ideal for Centrex-based contact centers.

The joint offering is designed to lower costs and improve performance of Centrex-based contact centers by reducing integration and enabling supervisors to manage operations using on-site reporting tools.

Perimeter`s Net-VU version 3.0 is planned for release at the end of October 2001 and will include the following Interactive Intelligence applications: interactive voice response, multimedia queuing and routing, screen pop, soft phone, Web chat and callback, e-mail management, remote agent support, unified messaging, fax services and predictive dialing.

Interactive Intelligence first released its interaction management software for contact centers in 1997 as an alternative to proprietary, legacy communications systems. The software is based on an open, unified architecture designed to reduce costs, simplify administration and increase ease-of-customization.

Net-VU 3.0, integrated with Perimeter`s VU-ACD/100, delivers real-time contact queue and agent activity information, as well as detailed historical reports to the supervisor`s desktop. Agent performance and trend data from VU-ACD/100 gives supervisors the information they need to most efficiently staff and manage contact center operations. VU-ACD/100 can support up to 4,000 agents and more than 400 remote supervisor workstations.
