CyberSource® Introduces Enhanced Payment Processing Software Tailored for Enterprise-Class, Multi-Sales Channel Businesses
New CyberSource Payment Manager™ Version 4.0 Adds Support for Sun Solaris, Provides Robust Web-Based Reporting and Improves Hosting
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., - October 9, 2001 -- CyberSource Corporation (Nasdaq: CYBS), a leading provider of risk management and electronic payment solutions for enterprise businesses, today announced plans to release the CyberSource Payment Manager version 4.0, a robust payment processing software package that features new support for Sun Solaris. In addition, Payment Manager version 4.0 incorporates a web-based reporting package from Cognos and includes enhancements to its multi-merchant hosting capabilities.
"Over the past decade, many corporations have chosen to run their back office systems on the Sun Solaris platform," said Jeanne Capachin, Senior Analyst at Meridien Research. "They are unlikely to replace these systems with other platforms as their need to process greater amounts of data and support additional applications becomes apparent."
CyberSource`s support for Sun Solaris, in addition to the current support for Windows NT, is consistent with its goal of providing flexible and reliable payment solutions to high-end, multi-sales channel organizations.
Payment Manager version 4.0 will come pre-packaged with Impromptu Web Reports from Cognos. This new tool provides Payment Manager customers the ability to access standard Payment Manager reports through a web-based interface and to customize the layout, content, and format of those reports.
"Our customers are typically sophisticated organizations that are used to closely managing their businesses with high-quality tools. We are pleased to align with Cognos to provide them a `best of breed` data analysis solution to meet their needs," said Tracy Wilk, Vice President of Payment Product Management at CyberSource Corporation.
Payment Manager can be used to facilitate third-party hosting of payment operations for multiple companies or multiple divisions within a single company. With Payment Manager version 4.0, CyberSource has enhanced the hosting capabilities of the product to enable Payment Manager administrators to add, delete or modify a profile of a new merchant or company while the server continues to operate.
