Maxim Online, the online counterpart to the Maxim men’s magazine, is launching the MaximWear—Off the Hook shopping portal using My Virtual Model’s Dressing Room technology. The new site feature allows men to virtually try on outfits at the web site by creating an interactive model based on their body type, features, face and hair.
Retailers participating in the MaximWear—Off the Hook portal are Addidas and Nautica. Paul Frederick is in development and Maxim says many other retailers are expected to join. Participating fashion brands and retailers may use the new portal as an interactive advertising experience or as a transaction-enabled e-commerce interface.
