CoolSavings revenue grows, loss narrows
Revenue for Chicago-based online coupon company CoolSavings Inc. grew 32% to $7.6 million from $5.8 million a year ago, the company reports. The company narrowed its net loss to $950,000 from $2.545 million a year ago. The company’s loss from operations was $800,000 vs. $2.3 million a year ago.
CoolSavings added 2.1 million registered users to bring its user base to 25.8 million. The number of new users in the quarter was the second highest in the company’s history.
Customers’ coupon clipping increased 60% from the previous record set in the fourth quarter of 2002, the company says.
