E-mail service provider Message Systems names two regional sales directors
E-mail service provider Message Systems has named two new regional sales directors. Mike Petonic, formerly of e-mail technology company StrongMail Systems, joins the company as director of sales for the western U.S., while Kim Matz has been promoted to head up sales in the eastern U.S.
Petonic has 18 years of experience as a software engineer and salesman. "Mike has an innate understanding of both the technical and business drivers facing the e-mail industry," says Barry Abel, vice president of field operations. "He is a focused hunter who can also manage strategic purchasing cycles at the executive level.”
"During her career with Message Systems, Kim Matz has proven her sales acumen again and again," Abel says. "Her industry knowledge and management capability makes her well suited for her new position as director of sales, US East, where she’ll be responsible continuing our penetration into the region and managing our growing US East sales team."
