Fulfillment Plus, Inc. (FFP), a turnkey, backend infrastructure services solutions provider, has been selected by The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc. to manage the customer care and fulfillment service program for its newly launched American Family Immigration History Center and Internet site (www.ellisislandrecords.org). Located at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum on Ellis Island in New York, the center provides visitors with advanced computer and multimedia technology, to search for and print out their ancestors’ immigrant arrival records and ship pictures. Foundation members can also create Family History Scrapbooks to celebrate their family roots. The project went on-line on April 17, 2001, with live coverage on NBC’s Today Show.
FFP provides the Ellis Island Foundation with a comprehensive backend solution that includes materials production, pre- and post-sale customer support, and order fulfillment for all web based history center transactions pertaining to merchandise, manifests, ships pictures, and scrapbook materials. On-line visitors will be able to access immigrant history and order scanned reproductions of ship manifests and pictures. FFP also provides the production and fulfillment that enables users to create leather-bound scrapbooks containing family memorabilia records, and scanned images in either a paper printout or CD format.
To meet the Foundation’s merchandising needs, FFP manages the physical logistics of order fulfillment, including warehousing and distribution. FFP’s fully staffed customer care center provides inbound sales assistance, delivery-tracking information, after-sales support, and returns management for the Foundation’s extensive line of giftware and family documents.
