Newgistics, Inc. Expands Board Of Directors With Executives From The Spiegel Group and R.R. Donnelley Logistics

Austin, TX - Oct. 22, 2001 - Newgistics, Inc., an innovative supply chain management company specializing in reverse logistics and returns management, today announced the appointment of David Boothby, senior vice president of operations for The Spiegel Group, and John C. Campanelli, president of R.R. Donnelley Logistics Services, to its board of directors.
The board is comprised of top-level executives from companies with expertise in customer service, sales, logistics and technology.

Mr. Gabriel has 23 years senior level experience in supply chain management and logistics at Corporate Express Delivery Systems, Pepsi-Cola Corp. and American Hospital Supply.
Ken DeAngelis, General Partner, Austin Ventures
A founder of Austin Ventures, Mr. DeAngelis has 20 years experience as a General Partner, focusing on Software and Services investments. Previously, he worked in the Merchant Banking Division of the Bank of Boston.
David Boothby, Senior Vice President of Operations, The Spiegel Group; President, Spiegel-Hermes General Service, LLC
Mr. Boothby previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance, Operations and Retail for Spiegel Catalog, Inc. Boothby has been in the retail industry for 30 years, holding senior executive positions with divisions of Federated Department Stores, May Co., McRae`s Department Stores and Maison Blanche Department Stores.
John C. Campanelli, President, R.R. Donnelley Logistics Services
Mr. Campanelli has 21 years of service with R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., with much of that experience in operations and technology. As President of Donnelley Logistics since 1997, Mr. Campanelli has led the transformation of the company into a leading provider of logistics services for catalogers, e-retailers, publishers and financial services firms.
Phil Siegel, Newgistics` Founder, and Venture Fellow, AV Labs
Mr. Siegel works with early stage companies to refine their strategies and business models. He is an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas Graduate School of Business. Mr. Siegel formerly worked as the Vice President and Director of the Dallas office of Boston Consulting Group, a premier global management-consulting firm.
