eBay Home leads in visits to home and garden sites in July

EBay Home had the most traffic among the top 10 home and garden sites in July, with 11.9 million visits, up 19% from 10 million visits in 2005, Nielsen/NetRatings Inc. reports.

The Home Depot came in second with 11 million visits in July, up 26% from 8.7 million a year earlier; followed by Lowe’s, 7.7 million, up 26% from 6.1 million; HGTV-Home and Garden Television, 5 million, up 19% from 4.2 million; eBay Crafts, 3.7 million, up 12% to 3.3 million; ServiceMagic, 3.1 million, up 121% from 1.4 million; Home Shopping Network, 3 million, down 12% from 3.4 million; DIY Network, 2.4 million, up 26% from 1.9 million; Linens ’n Things, 2.1 million, up 24% from 1.7 million; and IKEA, 2.1 million, up 24% from 1.7 million.

In average length of time per visit, Home Shopping Network led with 25 minutes, 11 seconds; followed by ltdcommodities.com, 21 minutes, 37 seconds; BrylaneHome, 19 minutes, 25 seconds; Lakeside.com, 15 minutes, 52 seconds; DecorateToday.com, 15 minutes, 19 seconds; Collections Etc., 14 minutes, 40 seconds; Deere.com, 13 minutes, 5 seconds; Maytag.com, 11 minutes, 48 seconds; Harborfreight.com, 11 minutes, 5 seconds; and IKEA, 10 minutes, 30 seconds.

Also for the month of July, Georgia-Pacific Corp.’s Dixie brand had the most online ad impressions in the consumer goods home and garden brands category, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report.
