Petco.com offers interactive online pet first aid course

Petco.com has added something new to bring customers to its site: registration for an online pet first aid course it’s offering in partnership with e-learning provider Connected Learning Network.

For $35, visitors to Petco.com can register for an online course they have 60 days to complete from the time of registration. After placing their order for the course at the Petco site, a link appears on their order confirmation page to access the course on the partner site. Customers who register for the online course also receive an e-mail with the URL and instructions on how to begin the class. They can access the course at any time through the links.

The online course covers topics including recognizing emergencies, providing emergency life support, handling sudden illness, wounds and bleeding, burns, physical injuries, poisoning and environmental emergencies and disaster preparation.

“This online course offers customers the opportunity to learn at their leisure, in the comfort of their home or office,” says Petco Pet Services coordinator Caren Dutta. “The greatest benefit of having a course online is that we are available to reach all of our customers both in the U.S. and throughout the world.”
