IWantToPlay.com, an online toy store offering select toys in categories ranging from trucks to math games, has officially launched its website. IWantToPlay.com's warehouse is based in Weymouth, Mass.; the technology and upper management is located in Dallas.
Although the site claims to carry more than 1,000 different items and features popular toys from brands such as Lamaze, Lego, Playmobil and Alex, the company says it is purposely offering a smaller assortment of toys than some retailers in order to establish a brand identity through selecting toys that are "reasonably priced" and that provide high customer satisfaction.
IWantToPlay.com has a variety of searching capabilities including search by age, category or brand, the company says. Searches can also be conducted through specialty categories including award winners, seasonal toys, classic toys, best sellers and toys under $20. The home page will regularly feature toy specials. IWantToPlay.com also offers back-to-school supplies, birthday gifts and seasonal items, it adds, and provides customers with gift-wrapping options that include a personalized gift card.
Shopping at IWantToPlay.com is safe, the company stresses. Credit card purchases are secured through an encryption technology that prohibits others from reading personal information including credit card number, name and address as it moves across the Internet, it says.
