Design Within Reach, a multi-channel retailer and designer of home furnishings, has promoted Karen John to the newly created position of vice president of design and merchandising.
John began serving as a consultant to Design Within Reach in 2003, then became director of product development in 2005. In her new position as vice president of design and merchandising, she will continue to report to president and CEO Ray Brunner.
“With a master’s degrees in industrial design, manufacturing engineering and business administration, Karen has proven to be a well-respected and outstanding innovator and leader,” Brunner says.
