Ebates.com, a shopping portal that gives consumers up to 25% cash back on purchases from various sites, reports it has more than doubled its merchant base. The San Francisco company says it has signed up more than 200 e-merchants in 17 categories.
Retailers new to the site include TowerRecords.com, FrenchToast.com, pets.com, FlowerFarm.com and furniture.com. Brooks Brothers, Amazing Baskets, Planet Outdoors, MotorcycleUSA, Golf Shop 2000, Prime Wine and Ethnic Grocer have signed agreements to join the program, according to ebates.
The portal's customer base now exceeds 750,000, and it expects to have 1 million by yearâs end.
