Top retailers delivered a consistent site performance in August

In August the dial-up availability provided by the web’s 50 biggest retailers was very consistent, says Gomez Inc.

The top three companies—Dell, OfficeMax and Office Depot—provided solid dial-up availability rates that averaged well over 80%. Dell led all retailers with a site success rate of 84.33% and was followed by Zappos and Dell at 82.92% and 81.96%, respectively.

The next most consistent retailer in May was Zappos with a dial-up site success rate of 81.93%, followed by HSN (81.25%), Williams-Sonoma (81.06%), HP Shopping (80.65%), Avon (80.34%), J.C. Penney (80.02%) and Netflix (79.80%).

The overall average for all top 50 retailers in May was 72.35%.
