In response to online retailer concerns of Web site outages, product distribution slowdowns and supply chain failures during what will be one of the busiest holiday seasons yet, New York City-based (www.ey.com) Ernst & Young is launching eRescue. Ernst & Young reports that eRescue will assess and quickly solve gaps or failures in retailers' Web-related operations.
The service's rescue specialists will respond to e-retailer crises through a tactical and process-driven five-day program for restoring or improving connections with customers, suppliers and distributors. The eRescue team will assess, and identify problems, benchmark results against the client's goals, then create a rapid-deployment plan to solve the crisis, the company says
