Peachtree hungry for eGrocer.com
Peachtree Network Inc., Montreal-based online grocer, will acquire the assets of eGrocer.com from Fulgent Technologies for common shares in Peachtree Network. San Jose-based eGrocer.com provides online grocery services to bricks-and-mortar grocers. This purchase adds grocers in California, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, and North Dakota to the Peachtree Network. To date, Peachtree Network has agreements with grocers in New Jersey, Louisiana, Florida, Colorado, Washington and Canada representing 800 grocery stores. Following this acquisition, Peachtree intends to integrate eGrocer's partner grocers under Peachtree Network's platform and operating systems. Peachtree is a grocery portal that provides tools for online shopping and driving in-store sales. With last month's acquisition of MyButler, Peachtree also offers in-store fulfillment technology.
