Search marketing firm Efficient Frontier hires execs from Apple, ValueClick
Efficient Frontier, a provider of search marketing services, has named as senior vice president of product operations and engineering former Pearson and Apple executive Roger Bodamer, and appointed Anders Torgerson, a former executive of ValueClick’s Mediaplex division, as vice president of product management.
Bodamer, with more than 15 years of experience in product development, will lead overall technology operations. He joins Efficient Frontier from Pearson School Systems, where he served as chief operating officer. Bodamer had formerly served as chief operating officer of Apple Inc.’s PowerSchool unit, now part of Pearson School Systems, which develops educational content compatible with Apple’s iPod digital audio players. When London-based Pearson acquired Apple’s PowerSchool last year, Bodamer took the chief operating officer spot at Pearson School Systems, a unit of the Pearson Education division.
Prior to Apple, Bodamer served as senior vice president of product operations at OuterBay, a provider of data management software since acquired by Hewlett-Packard Co. He has also held several director-level positions at Oracle Corp.
Torgerson will be responsible for Efficient Frontier’s overall product strategy and direction and oversee the company’s product management team. Prior to joining Efficient Frontier, he served as vice president of product management at ValueClick’s Mediaplex online marketing technology and services division, where he led the development of several product lines across display ads, e-mail and search marketing. Torgerson earlier was a director and project manager at Automatic Data Processing Inc.
“By employing the most powerful algorithms and bidding technology in the industry, we are able to achieve unprecedented levels of budget efficiency, predictability, and growth for our clients,” said Ellen Siminoff, CEO of Efficient Frontier. “Both Roger and Anders bring a successful track record in technology and product innovation to our executive team, and they will be significant contributors to evolving our capabilities and extending our technology leadership into new, emerging marketplaces such as biddable display.”
