Toshiba Computer Systems Division Selects Truition as Vendor of Choice for New eCommerce Solutions
Truition to Develop Toshiba Online Auction Marketplace and eBay Distribution Platform
(Toronto, Canada and London, UK – September 27, 2005) - Truition Inc., a provider of hosted eCommerce solutions for online sellers, today announced that Toshiba Computer Systems, a leading vendor for mobile computing solutions, has chosen Truition as its technology and services provider for the creation of a Toshiba online auction marketplace and eBay distribution platform.
Toshiba is a world leader in the development of technology in the mobile and wireless world. Toshiba’s tremendous success in the United Kingdom has resulted in an increased need for new and more efficient inventory management and product distribution channels.
Through Truition’s CMS (Commerce Management System) eCommerce platform, Toshiba will develop its own branded online auction marketplace, and distribute product on eBay.co.uk under the Toshiba brand. Both the new marketplace and eBay distribution program will feature a wide breadth of refurbished notebooks and accessories.
Truition’s eCommerce technology will allow Toshiba CSD to manage both its branded online marketplace (http://www.auctions.toshiba.co.uk), and its eBay.co.uk business (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Toshiba-Auctions), from a single hosted platform, thereby increasing revenue and customer acquisition opportunities, and streamlining the entire eCommerce process.
