CAMBRIDGE, MA - November 15, 2001 - Akamai Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: AKAM), the leading provider of secure, outsourced e-business infrastructure services and software, today announced the election of Martin M. Coyne II, group executive, Photography Group and executive vice president of Eastman Kodak Company, and Naomi O. Seligman, senior partner, Cassius Advisors Inc., to its Board of Directors.

Martin M. Coyne II
Coyne joined Eastman Kodak in 1986, and was recently named group executive of the Photography Group, composed of Consumer Imaging, the photographic portion of Kodak Professional, and Digital & Applied Imaging. He previously held roles as president of the Commercial Business Group, with responsibility for the Health Imaging, Document Imaging, Entertainment Imaging, and Kodak Professional divisions; and as president of the Health Imaging group, during which time revenue increased from $1.5 billion to $2.1 billion through internal growth and acquisition. Coyne has more than 30 years experience in the healthcare industry, including the establishment and operation of his own business, M.M. Coyne and Associates - a healthcare management consulting organization. He also held numerous management roles in sales, sales training, advertising and marketing positions at E.R. Squibb and Sons.

Coyne is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), serving on the Executive Committee, International Committee and Membership Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Radiology Section of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). Coyne holds a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Fordham University and an MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also attended the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of Business.

Naomi O. Seligman
Seligman is currently senior partner at Cassius Advisors Inc., a transatlantic consultancy with facilities in New York, London and Muenster, Germany. The firm helps the largest worldwide enterprises establish and implement e-commerce strategies. She was also a co-founder of the Research Board, a private sector institution sponsored by one hundred CIOs from the largest global enterprises in North America and Europe - outside the computing and communications sector. There she was responsible for client relationships and individual consulting, research utilization, and new member selection. She actively participated in the firm`s research, especially on the changing structure of the computer industry.

Seligman serves on the Boards of Directors of Dun and Bradstreet, Martha Stewart Omnimedia, Oblix, Sun Microsystems, and John Wiley Publishing. She is also a Trustee of the Boston Science Museum and a member of the Committee of 200. She received a B.A. with high honors from Vassar College and a graduate degree from the London School of Economics.

Coyne and Seligman join current Directors of the Board including George Conrades, chairman and CEO, Akamai; Art Bilger, vice-chairman; Tom Leighton, chief scientist, Akamai; Todd Dagres, general partner, Battery Ventures; William Halter, former acting commissioner of Social Security; Ronald L. Graham, the Irwin and Joan Jacobs Endowed Chair of Computer and Information Science at the University of California at San Diego; and Leo J. Hindrey, II, former chairman and CEO, GlobalCenter, Inc.
