AmeriNet`s New debit-it! Server Software Offers Secure On-line Check Processing
-- Consumers, Merchants and Payment Processing Firms to Benefit
PORTLAND, Ore--Nov. 19, 2001--E-Commerce merchants who want to boost sales with a complete electronic check processing solution, and payment processing companies looking to add pay-by-check options will benefit from AmeriNet`s new on-line transaction integration tool called debit-it!(TM) Server.
The software server from AmeriNet, Inc., a Portland-based developer of transaction processing technology, is designed to simplify the management of electronic payments for merchants and allow their customers who don`t have credit cards or don`t want to risk using them to do secure on-line debit purchases quickly, easily and securely.
The new debit-it!(TM) Server, which will be available the first of the year, combines AmeriNet`s debit-it!(TM) functionality into a software package that merchants can install at their location to provide a powerful on-site extension of their e-commerce engine or order management system. Pricing is based on a company`s on-line transaction arrangement with AmeriNet.
Debit-it, AmeriNet`s basic on-line transaction technology, provides secure online checking account debit transactions that are as easy as paying with a credit card. It`s designed for customers who don`t have credit cards or who don`t want to use their cards on-line for security or other reasons. In addition to benefits for the consumer, checking debits save companies money on transactional and administrative costs. Debit-it also gives companies confidence that a check will clear, through a rapid verification system that AmeriNet operates from a vast networking and database operation in its Clearwater, Florida facilities.
In addition, the debit-it!(TM) Server maintains a secure connection to the host severs and includes failure notification to both the merchant and AmeriNet`s technical staff. The merchant can allow for a "conditional approval" in the unlikely event the connection fails. Conditionally approved transactions are automatically retried once the connection is re-established.
Debit-it Server! features include support for unlimited debit-it!(TM) merchant accounts and sub-accounts that can be configured by the merchant or by AmeriNet`s Merchant Services staff through a web based account management interface; a local SQL database that stores all transaction, reconciliation, and fulfillment data with sensitive information encrypted; an automated agent that retrieves all the necessary data from the debit-it!(TM) system and updates the local database; access to all functions through merchant-configurable HTML forms; summary reports; and full access to the SQL database.
Debit-it has rapidly become an industry standard for online transactions. In the past six weeks, the Electronic Retailing Association, the national retail trade association with more than 100,000 members who sell goods and services online, DirecTV, Sony Music. Com, eUniverse, and BMGMusic.com, have reached agreements with AmeriNet for deploying Debit-it.
