Abercrombie & Fitch Selects Celarix to Improve Supply Chain Efficiency

Celarix Inc., provider of web-based supply chain technology, today announced that retailer Abercrombie & Fitch will implement Celarix's web-based Shipper Solution to connect with more than 45 trading partners and manage product shipments coming from over 40 countries. "By connecting A & F with all its trading partners via a web-based solution, the company will be able to communicate much more efficiently with all vendors, and improve its internal inventory and product distribution functions with a process that is smoother, faster and more reliable - good for both our clients and, in the end, the companies they work with on a regular basis," said Evan Schumacher, CEO of Celarix. Abercrombie & Fitch sells upscale, casual apparel for men, women and children through a subscription catalog, the Abercrombie & Fitch web-site and more than 300 retail outlets nationwide. Abercrombie & Fitch will use Celarix's Shipper Solution to improve retail planning, inventory and distribution needs through automatically tracking product movements for all of the company's orders, down to the SKU level, from the time the shipments leave the factory until their arrival at the distribution center. Real-time updates and rules-based reports will alert shippers and managers to potential problems before they arise.
