Learning Express Takes The Next Step-Online

LearningExpress.com, a new online venture of specialty toy retailer Learning Express, has selected NEXstep Inc. to provide fulfillment and transportation management solutions for its online retail business. Plano, Texas-based NEXstep provides a solution for online retail companies, addressing procurement, inventory management, shipping, customer returns, order tracking, and pack in-transit within a metered transaction-based fee model. It also operates development and support offices in Dallas and Los Angeles. Ayer, Mass.-based Learning Express has 160 stores in 32 states.

     Learning Express, a privately owned company founded in 1987, is a franchisor of specialty toy stores. Each store is individually owned and carries full lines of toys, games, puzzles, books and plush. The stores also provide a frequent buyer discount program, gift registries, fund-raising and charitable events, as well as in-store activities and events for children.
