Mother Nature Partners With Health Organizations
MotherNature.com, an online information source and e-tailer of vitamins, supplements, minerals and other natural and health products, has announced partnerships with two alternative care health organizations to provide natural health products and information to their members. The agreements with Landmark Healthcare Inc. and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians will promote Concord Farms, Mass.-based MotherNature.com to patients and healthcare practitioners of the two organizations.
Serving more than six million members nationwide, Landmark is a health care company with a 14-year history in complementary alternative medicine programs via managed care and other innovative benefit designs. Landmark and MotherNature.com will jointly market their services to other health plans and employer groups. MotherNature.com will also be able to fulfill product requests by telephone or fax if a health plan member does not have Internet access.
The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians represents about 650 active practitioners of holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with an emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. With this new alliance, an AANP doctor can set up a personal dispensary on MotherNature.com and become part of MotherNature.com's Wellness Advisor Network, an online, interactive forum to improve patient care. The doctor can then send a patient to their personal site to learn about and purchase the natural products they find efficacious in treatment.
