Such a Deal? Site Aims to Keep Retailers Honest

In the latest attempt at Internet deal brokering, two brothers launched Nosaleisfinal.com earlier this week. The Phoenix-based site allows consumers to anonymously sign-in, enter details about purchases they have made at Web stores, and find out whether another merchant offers the same goods for less.

"Using our service also tells the stores you buy from that you won't be pushed around by deceptive pricing practices," says a statement on the site. "Nosaleisfinal give you peace of mind that you received the best deal possible."

Dino Vervilos founded the site with his brother, Tony, through their company, 58Comet Technologies. Dino works as a project manager and Tony is an e-commerce programmer. "We haven't collaborated on business since we were kids and had a lawn mowing business," Dino says.

In its first two days, the site logged about 5,000 hits, with consumers posting 50 to 100 receipts for price checks.
