ChainDrugStore.net completes management buyout
ChainDrugStore.net, an online network that links retailers with suppliers, completed a management buyout from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and plans to add services to more pharmacies, it said today.
ChainDrugStore.net already links manufacturers to more than 210 retail chains, nearly 18,500 independent pharmacies, and wholesalers. It now plans to expand its network to include additional pharmacies and managed care organizations, it says.
"The completion of this transaction marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in ChainDrugStore.net`s history,” says Todd Grover, president. “It is our goal to provide every pharmacy operator with the product information necessary to manage a profitable and knowledgeable pharmacy.
“The expansion of the network will include the addition of trusted industry data resources and analytics that will drive better communication and measurable results for all involved - pharmacies, manufacturers, and managed care organizations. NACDS developed ChainDrugStore.net to level the playing field for all pharmacies. We will continue to build on that model, while emphasizing the importance of pharmacy and its integral role in healthcare."
