Barnes and Noble adds PayPal to online payment choices

Barnes & Noble Inc. has joined the list of major retailers accepting PayPal as payment on its web site. PayPay enables online shoppers to enter and store credit card and billing information in one place, rather than storing and updating the information on multiple sites.

“Adding PayPal as a payment option gives our customers more ways to shop with us, providing even more convenience, ease and flexibility,” says Marie Toulantis, CEO of BarnesandNoble.com.

Barnes & Noble Inc., No. 30 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, is the world’s largest bookseller, operating 797 bookstores in 50 states. It is the most recent major retailer to accept PayPal at its web site.

PayPal, a subsidiary of eBay Inc., has more than 114 million accounts and is available in 55 markets worldwide.
