Barnes & Noble’s online sales declined 0.5% year-over-year to $95.8 million during the third quarter ending Oct. 28, the retailer said. Online sales represented 8.7% of total Q3 sales, down from 9.3% a year ago.
Total Q3 sales were $1.1 billion, up 3% from $1.08 billion a year earlier. Total store sales increased 4% year-over-year to $972.1 million, as comp store sales rose 2%.
Overall net loss for the quarter was $2.8 million compared with earnings of $327,000 in the year-earlier period.
