SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Nov.21, 2001) KhiMetrics announced today the availability
of the latest version of its Retail Revenue Management Application Suite,
featuring a web-based interface, scaleable n-Tier architecture, process
control and improved modeling, all designed to increase ease and speed of
use.
Driven largely by customer feedback from its 11 tier one retail clients, the
solution now provides more flexibility, scalability and usability, plus
improved capabilities to deliver incremental sales and profits.
Called RRMAS V2.0, this version of KhiMetrics’ core application suite more
precisely accommodates the complex nature of retail data, scales across
large retail chains, leverages existing IT architecture and facilitates even
faster retail revenue management implementations. The KhiMetrics Retail
Revenue Management Application Suite, a patented business application
designed to help retailers achieve their financial goals through strategic
pricing, launched in September 2000.
“Version 2.0 represents a milestone accomplishment in moving retail revenue
management into the mainstream application space by providing an
architecture that not only delivers hard return on investment (ROI) quickly,
but does so in a non-disruptive fashion that is practically seamless to the
enterprise,” said Randy Kluck, vice president of engineering for KhiMetrics.
“Our tier one retail customers told us they wanted the option to take our
application in-house to complement our internet-outsourced model - this
version of our application suite satisfies that need.”
RRMAS V2.0 brings the following benefits and features:
§ New web-based user interface for ease of use anytime, anywhere: RRMAS
V2.0 offers pricing professionals improved ease of use through a new
web-based interface, allowing them to access the optimized prices via the
worldwide web. Other upgrades include a new scenario maintenance capability
for building what-if scenarios, plus user configurable navigation and
information such as product filters for sales, units, prices, and margin
changes. The ability to build graphics to view important category related
information relevant to price, sales and profits, is also provided.
§ n-Tier architecture for scalability and performance: Version 2.0 offers a
new n-Tier architecture to move beyond the typical 2-tier architecture
models, where applications and data are hosted on one monolithic system.
This n-Tier model provides increased system performance by allowing the
database, application and presentation layers to be scaled independently
with standard servers and components, allowing enterprises to leverage
existing IT infrastructure and save costs.
§ Seamless integration and process control: Version 2.0 offers reliable
unattended processing for the enterprise by intelligently sharing, batching
and queuing processing tasks. Additionally, alerts and notifications are
provided as part of the extensive exception reporting capabilities now built
into the application.
§ Precise Optimization, Increased ROI: This revised version now allows
pricing professionals to model low unit sales data scenarios, resulting in
increased ROI. KhiMetrics’ science labeled, KhiMetrics Bayesian Inferencing
(KBI), has successfully solved low data-related issues by intelligently
inferencing across multiple dimensions, or looking at other data elements to
produce SKU level elasticity measurements.
“KhiMetrics is committed to rapid product development cycles that allow us
to remain nimble and react quickly to customer and market requirements”,
said Brent Lippman, CEO and president of KhiMetrics. “This version is
consistent with our focus and vision for delivering a world-class retail
revenue management application.”
