FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Performance Management Applications Work to Reduce Inventory Levels, Maintain High-Level Service to Stores

PALO ALTO, Calif., November 26, 2001 – SeeCommerce™, a leading provider of supply chain performance management applications, today announced that Sears, Roebuck and Co. has successfully completed the 90-day implementation of SeeCommerce`s SeeChain Supplier, SeeChain Inventory and SeeChain Logistics applications. By immediately beginning to roll out the SeeCommerce applications to its larger, strategic suppliers, Sears will now be able to better respond to the many logistics and inventory changes involved in better managing its inventory across 900 stores nationwide.

"Managing the breadth and depth of inventory involved in a retail supply chain as complex as Sears` is no small task, particularly with all of the disparate legacy systems we have in place," said Dave Giometti, vice president of supply chain and vendor relations for Sears. "SeeCommerce aggregates that information to provide us with one enterprise view of our supply network-allowing Sears to significantly reduce average inventories while maintaining high levels of service to our stores."

"Sears is a pioneer in terms of developing electronic relationships with their vendor community. For such a forward-thinking company, SeeCommerce`s performance management applications can bring immediate and continuous supply chain improvements-allowing them to make smarter, faster decisions about their extended supply chain," said Paul Albright, president, CEO and chairman of SeeCommerce. "Because of the extreme complexity involved in Sears` supply chain, the potential benefits of implementing the SeeChain applications run deep, and we look forward to working with Sears over the long-term to continue to refine its supply chain performance."

Using the SeeChain Supplier, Inventory and Logistics applications, Sears will be able to proactively manage and monitor the movement of inventory between suppliers and across multiple stores and warehouses. SeeCommerce`s applications provide improved visibility into the constant movement in Sears` supply chain and allow the company to address potential issues in real-time, before they have a chance to play out.

"SeeCommerce`s applications provide visibility and real-time collaboration for all members of our supply chain, including replenishment, merchandise planning, transportation, distribution and our vendors," said Steve Poplawski, Sears` vice president of merchandise planning and placement, hardlines. "Within six months, Sears expects between 200 and 300 users on the system nationwide."
