Peapod is the highest in low broadband access

When shoppers are surfing pages and placing orders from the comfort of their broadband-enabled homes, they most likely are using low broadband to connect with an e-retailer.

In March the top 50 web retail site with the highest low broadband success rate was Peapod.com with a site access score of 99.42%, according to Gomez Inc.

Low broadband is replacing dial-up access in many U.S. households, particularly houses with cable TV. Therefore how frequently a low broadband customer can access a site is a key measure of that site’s overall level of performance.

During March shoppers could use a low broadband connection to access a top 50 retail site about 98.06% of the time. Following Peapod the retailers with the highest March success rates were: Zappos (99.34%), Drugstore.com (99.30%), OfficeMax (99.28%), Dell (99.11%), Apple (99.01%), Office Depot (99.18%), Scholastic (99.03%), Scholastic (99.03%), Avon (99.00%), Nordstrom (98.98%) and Eddie Bauer (99.08%).
