Apple Computer Corp. has launched iTunes Latino, a dedicated area within the U.S. iTunes store featuring Latin music, music videos, television shows, audio books and podcasts. The content includes about 300,000 Latin and international music tracks.
“We’re offering customers their favorite Latin music and video programming with iTunes Latino,” says Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes. “Latin music has been a huge hit on iTunes and now we’re bringing music fans even more of what they love in a dedicated area on the iTunes store.”
The iTunes store now features over 3.5 million songs, 65,000 podcasts, 20,000 audio books and more than 5,000 music videos and 250 television shows, says Apple, No. 15 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
