New Customers, Significant Renewals, Product Initiatives, and a Strategic
Integration Partnership Combine to Drive Strong Growth in ‘05
LEXINGTON, MA., February 7, 2006 – Gomez, Inc., the global leader in web application performance management solutions, today announced its 2005 fourth quarter and year end results. A milestone year, driven by strong new customer wins, continued existing customer relationship expansion, significant new product releases, and newly announced partnerships, produced annual revenue increases of greater than 50% for the 2005 fiscal year. For the fourth quarter revenues grew by more than 40% for the same quarter year over year. This achievement marks the Company’s fourth consecutive year of double digit revenue gains.
Gomez saw broad-based market demand for its web application management solutions, adding over 100 new customers in 2005. New customer wins included North American market leaders such as USA Today, Scottrade, Career Builder, Sun Life Financial, and Washington Mutual and internationally new customer like Thomas Cook and Betfair. In the fourth quarter, Gomez added numerous new customers including 180solutions, Zip Realty, and WebMD. In addition, a significant number of current customers more than doubled the size and scope of their relationships with the Company in 2005. For the year, Gomez’ customer retention rate exceeded 95%.
“Gomez’ strong growth in 2005 was driven by increasing demand for our Benchmarking solutions, our core Gomez Performance Network offering, and our new Private PEER product,” said Jaime Ellertson, Chief Executive Officer. “In 2006 we expect to see continued growth and adoption of our industry leading web application performance management products as well as the continued addition of new Global 2000 customers.”
Other Fiscal Year 2005 and Q4 Highlights:
• Significant Interest in New Gomez WorldView Integration with HP – In just the four months since the Company announced the availability of its Gomez Worldview for HP OpenView Internet Services, this integration initiative has resulted in new users and business relationships with industry leaders such as Yahoo! Search Marketing and Avaya. This integration provides a single management framework to confirm and resolve critical application performance problems whether they originate inside or outside the firewall.
• Private PEER Testing Capabilities Drawing International Attention – In 2005 Gomez introduced its Private PEER testing capabilities, allowing companies to monitor applications from specific end-user locations to instantly identify application performance from the clients’ point of view and speed root cause analysis. New Private Peer relationships included leading web brands such as Betfair, one of the leading sports betting exchanges, who is already finding success with Private Peer by isolating and reducing the mean time to repair of web application performance issues.
• Continued International Growth – To support the continued international success of over 35% revenue and bookings growth for 2005, in November, Gomez announced the appointment of Michael Bromilow to the position of Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA).
• Gomez Performance Network Expands Global Footprint – At the end of 2005 the company announced its commitment to increase its global coverage by adding 15 new locations in Europe and Southeast Asia as well as substantial infrastructure investments throughout its network.
