iSold It reports Q1 sales up 265% to $14.4 million
First-quarter gross merchandise sales at iSold It LLC, a chain of eBay drop-off stores, rose 265% year-over-year to $14.4 million, up from $3.9 million, the company said.
ISold It, a privately held company based in Monrovia, CA, attributed the increase to the opening of 100 new franchise stores across the U.S., a national advertising campaign and organic growth in existing stores.
The company, which is forecasting total gross merchandise sales this year of more than $100 million, operates about 200 franchise stores and expects to have 300 by year-end. “We don’t expect that momentum to stop,” says president and CEO Kenneth Sully.
ISold It recently moved into a 15,000-square-foot headquarters building, which is more than double its former space. It plans to use the new location to expand a training facility with a simulated store environment, it said.
