Icode releases latest version of Accware

CHANTILLY, VA.--Icode, Virginia-based software development and marketing company, has launched Accware Integrated Business -- Version 5.0, the latest version of its award-winning enterprise software solution for small and medium-sized enterprises worldwide.

Built on a client/server platform, Accware 5.0 - developed at Icode`s R&D facility in Bangalore -- is considerably more flexible than its earlier versions because of its powerful architecture which has enabled more features to be built into the product, broadening its functionality and enhancing performance.

Multi-user versions of Accware 5.0 come with a robust database back-end. Besides, the software takes advantage of transaction processing with rollback technology to protect the data against corruption and ensure integrity of the system if there were a workstation failure. Other key features of the product include an improved menu system and browser interface that can be customized by function; data export options for all browsers; streamlined drop-ship processing with automated links; improved contact manager with calendar integration; and MDI architecture to allow browsers, profiles and documents to be open at the same time.

Accware has been designed for enterprises engaged in retail, wholesale, distribution, mail order and service operations. It serves as a single integrated platform for all departments of an enterprise, including accounting and e-commerce, purchasing, sales, inventory-control, shipping, marketing, customer service, shipping, and return authorization. This integrated approach also facilitates tracking transactions at point of sale, credit card verification and contact management. In other words, Accware enables small and medium-sized companies to run their entire business with one powerful but very affordable software program.
