Internet "superstore" Buy.com Inc. has completed a comprehensive redesign of the customer support section of its Web site. The new customer support center is more user-friendly and features an enhanced user interface, new functionality and improved content, says the Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based firm.
     Enhanced features of the buy.com customer support center include the New Shopper Guide, which welcomes first-time shoppers and walks them through features of the site; "Buy Better Guarantees," which commits to "lowest prices" and "quality" merchandise, "anytime" customer support, a secure shopping experience and to protect customer information through the site's privacy policy; and improved e-account functionality, through which customers may now request returns online, cancel back-ordered items and get item tracking information directly from their order history.
     The buy.com e-commerce portal links 10 specialty stores and features products from thousands of popular manufacturers such as IBM, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Palm Inc, Sony, Titleist, Callaway and others. Product reviews in the company's technology categories, search functionality across all categories, product recommendations, best sellers and music clips are among some of the features that already existed on the site.
