Need a patent attorney fast? Take it online. PatentCafe.com has entered an alliance with LawOffer.com, becoming what it calls "the first intellectual property portal to offer a liquid marketplace for patent legal services."
LawOffer.com provides a free Internet service that matches clients having intellectual property needs with attorneys who meet required skill and fee criteria. The system allows prospective clients to confidentially place a request for proposal on the Internet to hundreds of intellectual property attorneys. Attorneys who specialize in the requested area of expertise then respond to the RFP and help the client through the intellectual property process.
Through its relationship with LawOffer, PatentCafe will become an intellectual property portal offering the free online matching service. Like the existing LawOffer system, clients enter their patent services RFP, which is then re-directed only to registered attorneys who meet the geographic or area-of-expertise criteria specified by the client.
