FTD reports a 17% increase in 2005 web sales
Web sales at flower and gift retailer FTD increased 17% in its just closed 2005 fiscal year to $215.5 million from $184.2 million a year earlier.
The web accounted for 49.2% of FY 2005 total sales of $437.8 million up from 46.4% of 2004’s $397 million.
"Consumers` continued preference for the Internet, along with additional marketing programs and the success of our new product offerings, drove growth in our consumer business during the year," says FTD president and CEO Michael J. Soenen.
FTD is No. 44 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
