Bluefly.com, Lucky Magazine launch “30 bags in 30 days” fall promotion


Bluefly.com has launched its fall promotion, “30 bags in 30 days,” in which it will give away 30 high fashion handbags with total retail value of more than $40,000.

In the game, co-sponsored by Conde Naste’s Lucky Magazine, shoppers are asked to click on three boxes. If the boxes contain matching handbags, the seller wins the featured bag of the day. Shoppers can win extra chances to play the game by e-mailing the game to friends.

Prizes include iconic handbags such as a Balenciaga motorcycle bag, a Botkier distressed leather satchel, a Bottega Veneta woven leather bag, a Burberry green suede hobo and a Fendi Spy bag, Bluefly says. The individual bags carry retail prices as high as $4,500.

“Bluefly believes that everyone has the right to own the latest in-season designer clothes and accessories, and there’s nothing hotter than handbags,” says Melissa Payner, Bluefly’s CEO.

The promotion, which began Wednesday, runs for 30 days. Links to the contest can be found on Bluefly’s home page, Lucky magazine’s home page (www.luckymag.com) and on Flypaper, Bluefly’s new blog.
