COMMERCIALWARE ANNOUNCES SALES AND DISTRIBUTION STRATEGY OPTIONS TO MEET MARKET DEMAND
New Retail Solution Pricing Program Provides Options for Retailers in New Markets
Natick, Mass. – January 14, 2002 – CommercialWare, Inc., a leading provider of retail commerce infrastructure software, today announced a broadening of its sales and distribution strategy through new pricing options and a new reseller program. The pricing comes in response to an increased demand for CommercialWare`s retail.dot.commerce and collaborate.dot.commerce solutions by multi-channel retailers of all types and sizes.
Whether the customer is primarily a direct-to-consumer operation, a true multi-channel retailer or predominantly a brick and mortar store with a catalog or Web presence, CommercialWare`s offerings have been expanded to accommodate the changing needs of varied customers. By offering new pricing options to accommodate diverse companies in a wider range of order volume tiers, CommercialWare is making it more affordable for mid-size companies to adopt a true multi-channel retail solution.
As part of the new pricing program, CommercialWare has added pricing tiers for retailers with lower order volumes and introduced subscription-based pricing. Through CommercialWare`s partnership with IBM, the company is offering additional options on leasing hardware, software and services to their customers. With these financing options, CommercialWare is able to provide retailers with the benefits of world-class software with little to no upfront costs.
In order to meet the market demand, CommercialWare is also opening new sales channels through its collaborate.dot.commerce Reseller Program. This program allows resellers to distribute CommercialWare`s collaborate.dot.commerce product in a number of different ways: traditional reselling under the CommercialWare brand name, referral programs, private label or through Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreements. This new program allows CommercialWare partners to distribute collaborate.dot.commerce, a product that provides retailers with an automated drop-ship supply chain solution. This program also gives the customers more ways to increase traffic and fulfill orders by having increased access to CommercialWare`s platform with more flexible pricing.
"In today`s economy, it is important that our pricing strategies mirror the changing needs of our customers," said Wynn Grubbs, vice president of sales and marketing for CommercialWare. "Our new reseller program enables us to reach previously untapped markets and customers that could benefit greatly from our products. As we begin 2002, we`ve expanded our sales and distribution strategies to meet the current market demand and our customer needs for varied options and financial alternatives."
