Converts PANTONE TEXTILE Colors to NRF Color Codes for Added Benefits

NEW YORK - January 14, 2002 - Today at the NRF 91st Annual Convention & Expo, Pantone, Inc., the global authority on color and provider of professional color standards for the graphics, fashion, interior and industrial design industries, announced the PANTONE National Retail Federation (NRF) Color Translator, software that allows retailers toconvert PANTONE TEXTILE Color SystemŽ codes to NRF Color Codes.

The NRF Color Code System was created to provide a unique Color Code for each color offered by a retailer or manufacturer for database purposes and sales tracking. Although NRF Color Codes meet the objective of EDI compliance, they are subjectively assigned. Using PANTONE TEXTILE Color specifications allows the retailer or manufacturer to track performance of a real color, significantly increasing the value of the results. The PANTONE NRF Color Translator software finds NRF Color Codes for PANTONE TEXTILE Colors, as well as locates the range of PANTONE TEXTILE Colors for the NRF Color Codes. The PANTONE NRF Color Translator allows PANTONE TEXTILE Colorsto be integrated directly into retailers` inventory, tracking and EDI systems.
