ST. PAUL, MN---Jan. 15, 2002-- National Sporting Goods Retailer To Use SPS` Catalog Services To Improve Product Information Management Among Small- And Mid-Size Suppliers

SPS Commerce, the leading Supply Chain Integration Service provider, today announced that Modell`s Sporting Goods has contracted to use SPS` hosted online Item Maintenance Catalog Services to improve supply chain efficiency and the timeliness of product data between its suppliers and its network of more than 90 stores on the East Coast. Modell`s, the nation`s oldest family-owned sporting goods retailer, will use SPS` Item Maintenance Catalog Services to electronically integrate and automatically update universal product code (UPC) and catalog data from its small- to mid-sized vendors that have traditionally communicated with Modell`s via phone, fax or mail.

Modell`s will use SPS` synchronization agent technology to coordinate its back-end systems with exact product content from each and every one of its supply chain partners. In addition, SPS` browser-based edit and load tools will allow each of Modell`s suppliers to tailor information updates that match the operational environments of their back-end systems.
