Retail Commerce Software Provider Closes Year with New Customer Wins and Strong Customer Loyalty

Natick, Mass. – January 15, 2002 – CommercialWare, Inc., a leading provider of retail commerce infrastructure software, today announced that it finished 2001 successfully with new customer wins. This comes as a direct result of the continued development and release of new product offerings as well as new implementations of the company`s flagship product, retail.dot.commerce. The new product successes build upon the company`s solid business momentum demonstrated by strong customer loyalty through numerous license upgrades and add-on modules, as well as substantial quarter over quarter increases in license revenue. These accomplishments further strengthen CommercialWare`s leadership in the multi-channel retail order management, customer service and fulfillment software market.

In 2001, CommercialWare added and implemented new products that anticipated the changing needs of retailers and direct marketers. integration.dot.commerce, the newest addition to the CommercialWare product line this year, provides retailers and direct marketers with the ability to easily integrate CommercialWare products into their existing IT infrastructure. integration.dot.commerce maps and translates application data into the appropriate format and supports industry standard protocols so that CommercialWare`s software can fit easily into any architecture.

Another new addition to CommercialWare`s product line is collaborate.dot.commerce, an automated, comprehensive drop-ship supply chain solution. This product integrates with any order management system and has been successfully installed at new customer sites supported by CommercialWare`s order management application, retail.dot.commerce, as well as non-CommercialWare order management systems.

CommercialWare also installed analytics.dot.commerce at several large retailers. analytics.dot.commerce is a multi-dimensional business intelligence solution. It extracts data with minimal technical investment and allows end users to develop reports that identify trends. analytics.dot.commerce provides managers with visibility into critical information that will enable them to make strategic business decisions.

CommercialWare continues to strengthen its flagship product retail.dot.commerce, through the introduction of the latest version, 5.0, which was met with broad customer acceptance. CommercialWare`s retail.dot.commerce helps retailers better control inventory, improve customer service and analyze shopping preferences to better know and service their customer. retail.dot.commerce 5.0 includes several key enhancements such as retail integration and additional ecommerce functionality that includes self service and improved commerce engine integration.

CommercialWare currently provides multi-channel retail solutions to over 90 of the nation`s top branded retailers. This year, CommercialWare completed successful implementations, including Illuminations, Abercrombie and Fitch and Camping World to name a few. A significant portion of the company`s existing customers including Chicos, Sundance Catalog and The Mark Group also found value in multiple solution offerings by adding additional products and services in 2001. CommercialWare marks the end of the year with 100 percent customer loyalty.

WolfCamera.com, a new CommercialWare customer, achieved a 20 to 30 percent increase in e-commerce sales since launching the retail.dot.commerce solution when long-standing CommercialWare customer Ritz Interactive acquired the company in October.
