The Grill Store and More cooks up a new loyalty program

To drive more traffic to its new mass merchandise site and provide incentives for customers to stay and shop, The Grill Store and More is launching a loyalty program.

In May, The Grill Store and More, No. 371 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, began operating ShoppersChoice.com, a new mass merchandise site.

Now in an effort to generate more interest and traffic in the site The Grill Store and More is launching a new customer loyalty program that rewards shoppers with points for making purchases. For instance, shoppers who participate in the program will receive 200 points for joining and another 2 points for every dollar they spend. The more they purchase the more the customer is rewarded with points that can be redeemed on future purchases, says Michael Hackley, CEO of The Grill Store and More. “They can wind up saving about 15% on a future purchase,” he says.

Shoppers who accumulate between $1,501 and $2,999 on purchases at ShoppersChoice.com will earn three points for every dollar spent, while those customers accumulating more than $3,000 in purchases will receive four points for each dollar spent and qualify for other incentives such as updated or free shipping.

The Grill Store and More have signed up about 4,000 participants since it began marketing the new loyalty program in late September. “This is generating interest especially among shoppers on the high end buying very expensive barbecue equipment,” Hackley says. Shoppers can use the points for discounts on future purchases.
