SuperValu outsources web shopping to MyWebGrocer.com

SuperValu Inc. has chosen MyWebGrocer.com to provide online grocery shopping on behalf of SuperValu's independent retailers in the Midwest, Central and Southeast regions. A number of SuperValue will launch the online service this winter, with ramped up participation among stores throughout the country over the course of the next year. Through the MyWebGrocer.com service, consumers will enter their supermarket's web site, choose groceries from the store's complete item offering including specials and private label products, select the choice of payment (credit card or cash/check) and decide when they want to pick up their groceries at the supermarket. MyWebGrocer, the technical provider will be transparent to consumers as they shop online.
