Card payment processor raises third-quarter financial guidance

Optimal Group Inc., a Montreal-based card processor, has raised its third-quarter pre-tax earnings estimate to $10.6 million, citing better-than-expected growth. The company originally had predicted pre-tax earnings of $9.8 million.

Optimal reported pre-tax earnings of $8.7 million in the second quarter, with revenues of $40.6 million. The company processes card transactions for Internet as well as traditional retailers and has operations in North America and the United Kingdom.
